President, SciBr

Vitor Pamplona is co-founder and President of the SciBr Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting, mobilizing, and elevating Brazilian academics, investors, scientists, and entrepreneurs living in the USA. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UFRGS/MIT and is a cofounder, CEO of EyeNetra, a spin-off from his Ph.D. at the MIT Media Lab that develops several vision-testing devices to collect the measurement for eyeglasses using virtual reality from the home. Vitor merges his first-hand experience being a successful scientific entrepreneur with his work leading part of the Brazilian diaspora for over 12 years.
