Andrea Motta

UK-Brazil Tech Hub Director
Andrea Motta heads the UK-Brazil Tech Hub, a UK Government initiative that fosters and supports innovation ecosystems in Brazil. She has 16 years of experience in international cooperation and innovation programs in public and private institutions, leading strategic partnerships with startup communities, government agencies, accelerators, investors, incubators and enterprises across Brazil and with global markets. Previous work includes initiatives and institutions such as StartUp Brasil, Softex, Startups and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development (SEED) and the Government of Minas Gerais Secretariat of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Órbi Conecta, InvestSP and the Organization of American States. Andrea is a PhD student in International Relations at the University of São Paulo – USP, where she researches innovation and startups diplomacy. She holds a master’s degree in Government and Latin American Studies from Georgetown University, a postgraduate degree in International Business from the University of California Berkeley, a postgraduate degree in History and Political Cultures from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and a bachelor degree in International Relations from PUC Minas.
