Dr. Katrin Vohland is the CEO and Director General of the Natural History Museum Vienna. She studied Biology in the University of Bayreuth and in University of Bielefeld, holding a PhD on Adaptation and Speciation of Millipedes (Diplopoda) in the Amazonian Floodplain Forest from the Max Planck Institute for Limnology Plön, AG. Among many other initiatives, she has also coordinated the projects “Network and Forum on Biodiversity Research Germany (BMBF)” at the Museum of Natural History – Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Research (MfN) and “Protected Areas of Germany in Climate Change – Risks and Options for Action (BfN)” at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK).
